The words and deeds
Politics, literature, companies in the prophetic and irreverent analysis of Gore Vidal
The book was in 1978, seems to be written yesterday for the policy of the articles as Vidal is "on."
The book is a collection of the author of articles on various topics. Half politics and American history and especially of its rpesidenti of which I knew little and articles of literary criticism.
ah I believe everything I read Calvino (sent him back ...) and Mishima. While I found
diffili and heavy pieces that spoke of current and popular authors in America in the 70s, but I never heard of or I know little and still have not read any books cited. Some do not read them because they made them to pieces!
He still is a samurai. As soon as I get a little 'desire to transcribe the pieces there are nasty but they are worth the effort! Or maybe it's because they are really evil?
Overall an interesting read. I'd also read some of his novels because I was intrigued. I would say positive feedback!

Reading sliding well made, with small truths inserted between the lines. Coe writes really well and makes up the original plot but not extravagant. He also "sub" very interesting. I'll try to explain without spoiling the pleasure of reading. I've eaten in 3 days! The story concerns
a family history in which a person describes twenty photographs to tell the story of his life and other people involved. Including the addressee of the narrative. Well
a sub-theme that runs parallel to the plot is the anticipation. Since the person obviously knows the story it tells, is always afraid to bend because of the things that happen because they know later.
It 's very nice to look good-natured that even the author gives the narrator (in the literal sense as the voice recorded on tape) that happily accepts his life and his fellow travelers in spite of everything ...
The story has several twists. Another motif in addition to life good nature and acceptance is the blatant randomness of life.
And last is that by the description of these facts by means of photo choices, made for the destiantaria who is blind, Coe tells us about what is and what happens, which intersects but does not overlap ever. As I've read so far
Coe 3 books, I liked a book ("Woman on the case" very rich and suitable for middle-aged woman like me) and one not (the acclaimed "The Winshaws" I did sadness, came to mind and Berlusconi Travaglio: P and I struggled to finish it) this is again yes.
^___^ I like his protagonists are usually humble and honest people, the "good people". This emerges from his reading. It 's very good at enter the female characters. Ultimately
is' a good book, read it and if you want to come back to tell me how you seemed to!
Right now they are not Nothomb Coe-ista-ist!
I read the sea is nice and smart. Port of points of view on our italianitudine: P that shifts the perspective and way of looking at things Noste. I recommend it. Today a friend of mine told me that Severgnini not stand up, that he poses. Fortunately I only judge him by his work (I have read almost all of his "English, half-serious lessons") and I think ... perhaps if I had known Wilde (Oscar) or had seen on TV I would have found a stronzissimo snob. Instead Luckily I did not have those glasses to read it!
